The Inazuma team is in a severe disadvantage, even more so when it's late night. Hibiki, Shiranui and Kaga are already dangerous on their own, and here comes bloodthirsty Yasenbaka at her peak.

Suzuya seems to be not as panicked as her teammates, since she's still eating dinner...

Notice how the first reaction was to order Inuzuma to run away... Even with Suzuya it was a strong suggestion, but Inuzuma they wanted to have her leave.

Now is this because they are concerned with helping Inuzuma win, or is it because she is the #1 Joker and they are concerned about collateral damage if she's forced to fight for real?

Seriously, the one thing Kongou has to do to win this is saying on the announcement:
"I will give the winners my EXTRA SPECIAL dinner course as a celebration gift~"
...then sit back and watch as the rest of the problem solves itself.

Also I call shenanigans, at night in-game a submarine is virtually untouchable! Not even god of NB Sendai could hit a sub at night!

And now I'm even more curious about Inazuma's capabilities: how is she in actual hand-to-hand combat? Will we ever find out or will she always get out of battles due to plot?

I also thought of this, then I realized ingame NB subs aren't really running around on land instead of under the pitch black sea.

She is good enough to NanoDeath admiral. You know, the one who tought every girl on the base everything they know about hand to hand combat.

All of the shipgirls in the base is experienced the boot camp, and since kongou is one of the early arrival shipgirls at the base i think she was trained exclusively by Reiji himself as the instructor of her bootcamp
