    Before it gets translated my guess is that 55 additional levels won't earn alone. It comes a lot of hard work from now on.

    Today I learned 「カンスト」, short for 「カウンターストップ」 (counter stop). Or what happens in games when a counter has reached its programmed maximum value and it can't count any further.

    It was all pretty much for nothing, since Reiji is going to get rings for the other level-capped ships anyway. These three only earned the privilege of getting them "first".

    Or "cap" (soft or hard), as we say in English.

    On another note, I actually quite like how Kongou is depicted here. Her playful nature often masks her affection towards the admiral in most doujin works, so it's unclear how serious she actually is about her "burning love". However, this Kongou is such a perfect example of a girl in love. Look at just how much she is delighted after receiving that ring. She probably didn't care about that level cap from the very beginning.
    I honestly hope this sweet, sincere side of hers is shown more often in fan works. Looking at her actually made my heart skip; first time ever since kouji's Fubuki.
