This actually sounds pretty neat. It would put in a whole new level of risk as there can be obstacles or terrain like the buildings in this picture that can be of either benefit or danger for both Shipgirls and Abyssals, as well as having to plan out how you'll approach each area, and maybe even adding land-mounted Abyssals to make things extra difficult.
