    Sequel to pixiv #45133881 »

The first panel was actually already done on last year's raya(pixiv #52955917 »), but only this year I decided to finish the whole thing-

    Anyway, Selamat Hari Raya Aidilfitri!

[English Translation] (Translated by NNescio on danbooru)
Kagerou: Hey, Mokou… just how many bamboo cannons are ya plannin’ to set off this year, huuuh?!
Kagerou: Enough already! Did you forget about what happened last Raya? And here I thought y'ar going to coo—
Mokou: Oy, I AM cooking lemang right now, auntie.

    [日本語訳] (Translated by user/7260951 »)
    影狼:
    こんにちは妹紅・・・ってあなた、今年はなんて数のBamboo cannon(大変危険かつ違法な花火)を炸裂させようとしてんのよ?!
    もうたくさんよ!あなたねぇ、去年のRaya(日本人にとってのGW)で何しでかしたのか忘れたの?
    私はてっきり・・・

    妹紅:
    おいおい、私はただLemang(ココナツミルクと塩ともち米を竹筒に入れて作る伝統料理)を作ろうとしただけだよ?おばあちゃん

"Malay". Northern dialect too, to be exact (note the use of "Hang" as a 2nd person pronoun).

Well, Bahasa Malaysia refers to the Malaysian variant of Standard Malay. This is more like Loghat Utara or Bahasa Melayu Kedah.

So, kinda like Malay Oop North, I think. Closest Japanese equivalent would be the Touhoku dialect (up north, heavy focus on tourism, etc.).

This will be the answer to your question.

And if you think Northern dialect is hard, you obviously never heard Kelantanese dialect yet.

I think BarefeetChaser is asking about how many languages does NNescio speak.

And the intended answer with that link was to say "a lot of them," I think.

That lemang sounds interesting. Is it good, or is it one of those foods that different people have different opinions about?

It is universally good, hasn't meet anyone who dislike lemang.

And kids, do not mess with fireworks, especially home made ones. Even if you survive you'll lose something else.

Not counting dialects, I consider myself to be proficient only in four.

The rest are at about elementary to intermediate levels. Enough to say, order food at a restaurant, or ask for directions, but not enough to carry a conversation for long, and I have difficulty keeping up with fast speech. And of course, my pronunciation sucks.

Combine with vast knowledge about chemistry, physics, biology and others (or just superior google fu). You also mentioned about some theses so probably at least 1 or 2 master or phd degrees. You are just amazing mate.

    "Only" is good xD.
To get even a second correct is damn difficult if you're not growing up bilingual.

All aboard the NNescio appreciation train! I doubt his knowledge is just google, most universities will mandate a fairly well rounded course in those subjects even if you want to be an English major, and if you go further, the information sticks with you because everything in the upper division classes build on the previous subject. Of course, you aren't born with having such wide array of knowledge. Certainly NNescio spent many years studying and dedication to become the person he is today. I am always amazed at the impressive backgrounds and knowledge of Danbooru users here, all united for the love of animu.

Or Sabahan dialect, for that matter. Trust me, anyone not used to us speaking Sabahan will think that we use formal language (a.k.a. "Bahasa Baku"), and a source of constant frustration whenever I have conversations with non-Sabahans.

Oy, I AM cookin' lemang right now, auntie. Lemang is made from glutinous rice soaked in coconut milk, stuffed into a bamboo tube and roasted over a fire. It's a traditional food consumed during Hari Raya.
Enough already! Didja forget about what happened last Raya? And here I thought y'ar going to coo— Hari Raya Aidilfitri, Malaysian (and Singaporean + Brunei) Malay spelling for the Muslim Eid al-Fitr festivities marking the end of Ramadan.
Hey, Mokou... just how many bamboo cannons are ya plannin' to set off this year, huuuh?! Bamboo cannons are improvised firecrackers made by igniting flammable acetylene gas (generated by reaction between water and calcium carbide) in a confined bamboo tube. They are infamous for blowing the fingers off children.
