The pics "Maybe" not being real isn't the problem. It's actually cause they could be real that is. Basically, any website is taking a risk putting them up if they are the real deal. If they are fake, then nothing would happen.

Although if they are nothing but fanart, then he basically has no reason to put it up anyway. So he either gets a C&D from Nintendo, or ends up putting fake fan art on his website. Might as well not put it up at all then.

99% chances are that it is drawn by a legit designer, but it doesn't mean the designs are finalized.

Those could just be among the many other possible designs that could be scrapped. Though I do hope Gamefreak would scrap them due to how overwhelmingly negative the responses to these designs are. Maybe wishful thinking, maybe not.

Serebii isn't known to be unprofessionel, while other pages like pokejungle are a bit more iffy when it comes to rumors. Serebii puts only thing to their website which is confirmed.

At least I never saw a rumor on it.

There's no way someone knew what Mallow looked like two months before she was even revealed.

Except Mallow isn't a "random girl" and the chances the "fake" design released months ago and the official designed released just a few days ago would be so identical, lest it be some kind of super dumb-blind luck.

Why not? Why then there's a way to confirm how starters are looking when they are still not officialy revealed? It's the whole point of leak, yeah? And when you get a leaked information, you can do with it what you want, like plot it into some fake infos to make fools out of people.

If my theory is at least partly true, the person that get her design first and created "fake" evos was not aware of her importancy, so indeed - she was random for him/her. And why i should not call nameless, overhyped mass of easy to fool people stupid? It's the truth, and i am actualy part of it so yeah.

And it's not about what i think about these designs (actualy, i like Litten's evo!), it's just annoying how easly people like to jump into that "OMG! CONFUUURMD" bandwagon.

1. There is a character that looks awfully a lot like a confirmed character
2. The leak came out months before the girl was officially confirmed
3. Nothing more

So it is possible. But it is not revealed. And if that leak is true, than we will get another Fire/Fighting starter :3. Probably that's the reason why so many "fear" that this leak might be true.

This kind of thinking is the same path that many of the "Fairy isn't a thing" people said. Now, I'm not saying that I agree that they're confirmed, but it's really starting to feel like they will be.

Which is sad, because I really don't like Litten's evo (generic Furry OC and yet another fire/fighting?) or Popplio's (can't place that one, I just don't like it. Rowlet's I'm really not sure on. It reminds me too much of AD&D Owlbears and their featherfingers. I think I'd say "I kinda like it, but I really want to find a reason to dislike it".

Mallow is depicted with Ash, which kinda indicates some kind of importance, if you ask me. Then there's also her being depicted with a kettle, which also fits with her cooking theme and whatnot. It kinda drives up the credibility.

And overhyped people are different from people who are willing to put some doubts in the "leaks", so yes, as long as they're not going around "OMFG TIHS IS CUNFURMED AND UR A DUMDUM FUR NOT BELEBIENG", they're not really being stupid, per se.

At this stage, I just thinks "confirmed until proven otherwise so take it with a grain of salt" route.

Well, the funny part with Fairy-type is that it was running around on the internet long before confirmation of XY, so it was truly random coincidence xD

And also i remember how we get first info about Espurr and Meowstic, randomly thrown into bunch of fake infos about psychic/poison rattlesnake and wild pokemon that are visible in overworld and would escape from you.

TBH I prefer to go with "unconfirmed until proven otherwise" for these kind of leaks. But this time looks convincing though.

It would be a better type combination to have (as Fire/Fighting would make Litten's evo weak to both of the other starters' evos... like it happened to Empoleon in Gen IV), so I guess I find that mildly reassuring.

Okay lets change the subject since arguing about how this is legit will piss off both sides.

While I like the design, the bow gimmick is kinda... doesn't work. Try holding the string of your sweater like that. It's a VERY awkward stance, And I imagine the arrow will fly like 90 degrees off, if it could be shot at all.

Removing from the pool as it's now confirmed to be in the game's data.

Since it's confirmed, I like it uses its hood-string as a makeshift bow-draw. Pretty sweet on the same level as Braxian tail broomstick
