...Uh? Am I just really bad at math, or did Admiral give them chump change? 10 points is 100 yen, Hibiki and Akatsuki got 180 points, so they get 1,800 yen each. As of right now, that's $21.80 aud. Forget about Ikazuchi, she obviously got tons of dosh, but the most any of the others got is Yukikaze, who got 300 points for a grand total of 3,000 yen. That's $36.30 aud. I earned more than that for two days of helping out at my Dad's work. What are they going to spend it on, candy?

Considering how many destroyers there are to give new year's money to, they probably have a budget limit for that sort of thing, plus they're shipgirls.

We're also potentially overlooking other sources of New Year's Money from other, older ships (although I'm not sure if Kanmusu even get paid)
