And now I wonder what kind of outrageous thing Aoba is saying now.

it's about why Kamio has two tags instead of one and the training level is harder in the ground army

Well Pudding, don't be surprised if you ever did learn that Reiji used a pile bunker one handed and smashed abyssal light cruisers in brutal melee... though at the cost of decimating his whole unit.

Sure, more terrifying than the Wehrmacht, yep.

Though to be fair, that "IJ" prefix in front of everything isn't what it looks like. It's more like what the name "JSDF" currently designates. Really, they're NOTHING like their past counterparts (save for some historical grudges).

But the JSDF are wankers is a self-defense force (自衛隊), not an army.

(Yeah, nice way getting around Article 9...)

these girls are at A rank, meaning that the 4: Kaga, Sendai, Shiranui and Hibiki are at S rank, since they are those that showed excellent results in boot camp?

Really, we (US) should just let Japan have a legitimate military. Same goes for citizen weapon possession. Unfortunately Japan has been neutered for so long, I doubt their (somewhat shitty) politicians would allow it, or fuck it up royally with bureaucracy.

That self defense joke is hilarious. This is my rifle, this is my self-defense gun. This is for fighting, this is for fun~

Both China and South Korea (and other East-Southeast Asian countries) have all the reason in the world to oppose that. Problem is, neither of them is doing a very good job at convincing the world otherwise. The US would do anything plausible to cage China in, and the ROK Navy isn't one bit significant in that picture.

As for civilian weapons... well, let's just say the vast majority of world doesn't agree with NRA's ideology. Not until ISIL gets them, but that's a different story.

That hasn't stopped the JSDF from compromising away their constitutional restrictions for the past few years.

I don't think it is so much the people in the world don't want weapons, but their leadership since it threatens their power. Ironic really, that our gov is willing to give terrorists the greatest weapons money can buy, but restricts their own citizens. Makes you wonder which side some people are on.

You got that right. Everyone knows the game that is being played, why not just come out and be open about it? I seriously doubt a Japanese military is that much of a threat especially considered the current subdued mindset in that country.

Hell no, I don't want to go outside with the mindset that everyone has a gun that they can use to kill people anytime they want.
Also, take a look at Japan, no (easily accessible) guns and they seem to be doing well enough in killing themselves or other people when they cross the Despair Event Horizon.
Imagine if everyone has access to guns there...

As far as I understand it's because the japanese citizenship doesn't like it, so the PM and the JSDF has to dance around their own people.

I mean, compare the 1.3 Million German soldiers, sailors and SS Personnel* that surrendered before April '45 to the 20-50 thousand Japanese soldiers and sailors that were captured alive or surrendered before August '45.

*And 1.5 M in April before VE Day in May

Night - Naval base dormitory Heavy cruisers' shared room
Good work on the newbie boot camp... Oh-
You got your tag already? That was fast. It suits you!
And also, welcome to the heavy cruisers' shared dorm room!
the IJA are the most terrifying ones.
Besides, regular dog tags mean nothing on the vast ocean!
It's completely up to you whether you wanna put it on or not.
I see... but why does the admiral have 2 tags?
Ours is more like a unit emblem. They were made under everyone's agreement some time ago.
    Dear Bismarck-neesama,
Alright, once again... Welcome to Yokosuka's 1st Guerrilla Squadron~!
    Really? That makes me happy~
    Here's the thing.
The admiral's formerly from the IJA, see, so add the tag he got back then and that makes two of it.
    Normally, yeah.
...So the reason the admiral's this intimidating is because he's from the army?
And also, you got ranked A just like Suzuya did! We're comrades~
Rumor says that in the IJA, this much is just a walk in the park, you know?
D-danke! Please take care of me!
But don't Erkennungsmarken normally consist of a pair in a set? German: Dog tags
