I find the easiest way to learn to draw (of course with a lot of practice) is to find an artist you like, print out their pictures and practice tracing them onto another piece of paper. You get to analyze the shapes that make up the picture and see the lines without the complex shading illusion. Once you get good and confident at tracing, then start free handing your own. Progressively fix small mistakes and then move on to other things like shading. I spent the past year or so on and off practicing drawing and while it definitely is not danbooru worthy, I can make cute enough sketches for my own personal enjoyment. (I draw out stencils and paint up some of my firearms and practice equipment anime themed. Magazines are a great thing to paint since you have so many of them you can try out different designs. PMAG "sand" mags are a boon.)
