And today I learned a new Japanese word trying to figure out what テーシュカンパク means. It's 亭主関白 written in katakana, which roughly translates to 'tyrant-like husband'.
Is there any English equivalent for things like this?

I went with 'intimidating', I think it's more or less on the spot.
I see in most cases the part after '(' at the end of sentences (ex. '(ry') either means nothing, is unimportant or otherwise hard to transliterate.

Edit: Oh, I just found a hard-translated version in my own language, and the translator pointed out that テーシュカンパク means more a male-tsundere stereotype than its traditional usage. Might want to adjust the words accordingly.
