    "German dog". Possibly not grammatically correct; I think it would actually be "deutsches Hund".

    Just saw this now.
    @zgryphon
    That wouldn't be correct, since it is "der Hund" in German.
    Well, we have her "a good Deutschhund", so we have an indefinite article and the nominative. Dog translates to "der Hund" in German, so it is masculin. Applying "our" grammar rules to this, the adjective "good" [gut] and "german" [deutsch] needs to be declined. So the result will be "ein guter deutscher Hund", in english "a good german dog".

    "Deutsches Hund" would be correct if dog would translate into "DAS Hund" in German but that's not the case.

    I think it would be (ein) deutscher Hund since there is no definite article in the beginning. Otherwise it would be der deutsche Hund.

    Teckels --- the great Kaiser's favourite dogs --- are also called Dachshunds, which is near enough in sound for her to be making some affectionate pun.

    Ah yes, of course. I was always a bit iffy on declensions.

    Wow, I had no idea that randomly putting some terrible German here would spark such discussion...

    Ooyodo's line is literally just 'At times like this, please really stop like a German (would)'; with the part of ドイツらしい being the 'like a German' part.

    Probably didn't really need to put the dog part in then...

    (Chalk it up to 2AM translations)

    Actually, what sounds do German dogs make? Since it's essentially an SFX, it could be put in the respective Shipdog's language...

    I think it's something like wau or waff (where the "w" is pronounced like an English "v", as is customary in German), but after my previous blunder, maybe don't go by me.

    (In Swedish it's vov, according to a Swede I dated for a bit in college.)

    Day Plan 4 "Meat"
    Times like this you should be a good Deutschhund and really just stop!
    It's not a sausage or anything!
