It's more that the admiral appears to be a prototype Shitty Admiral (see the commentary about him wanting a naive destroyer) who wanted a compliant little girl for his own purposes, only to get a self-possessed young woman who has some personality to her instead.

The "naive" here is actually "simple/plain/homely". Thus, this is unlikely a Shitty TTK.

Actually I think this guy is an alternate world version of the anime admiral who was expecting a sweet and meek needy girl who he could shape and marry. Instead he got a confident fireball of a destroyer.

I really wish they'd given the anime Fubuki a but more personality and backbone. I'm trying not to be bitter, but....

You're mistake was in expecting the anime not to be a souless poorly written cash grab after seeing about 30 seconds of the first trailer.

I can't get enough of this Fubuki. I love the gap moe of cute and fluffy to calculating serial killer personality is my most favorite of all.

I'm trying to imagine Fubuki with two turrets. Like the Kantai Collection version of Revy - they're both main characters with low ponytails, and similar personalities given the apparent depiction here. Plus, she's not alluring enough to be Balalaika.

That's Yuudachi's role, poi. She's got the crazy grin down pat-poi.

That probably leaves Kiso as Sister Eda as she's not crazy like Shenhua or cool like Chang.

I liked Koko in first season. And then hated her when the author couldn't figure how to end the story and changed her from a pragmatic capitalist to a one world order globalist. My favorite was probably Hex in Jormungand. Yeah, I really liked Hex a lot. She was really the only one who knew what was going on from the start, and she is a dyed in wool nationalist which is pretty cool to me since in the anime and even in real life, that can sometimes be rare since most people's loyalties lie with whoever pays them more.. Maybe if I read the manga the storyline would be more consistent? I don't know. It just was jarring because I rememeber Koko telling Johnah in the car of episode 1 how she will show him how while guns were responsible for his sad life, guns also equally can be used by good people to stop bad people
(like seriously it was nearly a copy paste of an NRA ad) then season 2 she did a 180 to "all guns are bad, lets get rid of them all, you would like that Johnah, right?" It just felt like too much of a disconnect from her character but maybe stuff happened inbetween seasons that wasn't animated. I don't know.
