    Literally it means 'tie together', but I think it says something similar to a 'final touch'. Doesn't feel right to have no noodles in nabe, after all.
    As for the title, I don't think it's questioning what Akitsu Maru actually meant. What I get is "Are you okay with that(ramen)?", but I can't say anything for sure.

    Oh yes the necessity of noodles in nabe I understand
    but here I thought using the udon/ramen to literally tie the ingredients together XD
