The worst part is that Saikawa doesn't know Kanna is a dragon yet.

Well at least that will take like 50 more years!

Fantasy love knows no bounds.

The dragons in that series can freely choose their shape though, so Kanna could conceivably just age herself as she herself grows, and her powers get stronger.

You know what would be f*cked up, though.
If that's actually not Riko but her daughter, grandchild, or descendant and Kanna becomes part of this whole vicious cycle of succession, being passed on from one saikawa to the next.

This just shows that immortality is a blessing and a curse
