    Replaced the zun tag with oota_jun'ya because I'm guessing he drew this rather than appearing in it. (If I'm wrong and he is in it, I wouldn't know from the thumbnail and unfortunately I can't load the full-size image without Opera crashing.)

    Now I wonder what the respective maps of the Moon/Lunar Capital and Greek Hell would look like.

    I demand a source for this glorious piece of art. The world must know what Gensokyo looks like according to its creator.

    If this sort of thing is true, that would mean we've barely visited a third of Gensokyo's Earth-topside.

    Good point. Switching it to artist_request until we can verify that Zun actually made this as a canon info source and it's not just a fan's best guess.

    While it's technically not against Danbooru Terms of Service to upload your own artwork, just remember that it's going to have to be put through a very tough ringer. I doubt a WIP is going to pass even the regular standards for uploading here.

    Therefore, it's highly discouraged. If other members find it significant enough to upload this work here independently of your input, then it's another story.

    Very, very useful. A vital part of Touhou.

    Spelling:

    Outsid = Outside.

    Grate = Great. 2 instances.

    Shrin = Shrine.

    Easily done in a foreign language.

    Is the barrier to the outside world that literal? I normally imagine it the same way the Many Worlds Theory does: not physical but you also can't pass through it without bending physics.

    That's what I believe too. I don't think the barrier is so physical, as it's said if you stray too far outside the "barrier" you eventually end up in mayohiga (no matter which direction you go). Likewise, I don't necessarily think that the border has a set radius (as in, gensokyo isn't a enclosed sphere or cylinder), but that is just speculation.

    The location in which Gensokyo resides in, in the outside world, is simply uninhabited, mountainous wilderness. It's most likely easy to pass through unhindered unless there is a border fluctuation that affects the outside world.
