If Hibiki has her way and gets her some flashy girly threads Akigumo-san could also be a booth babe herself. Still hoping we get treated to a Hibiki, Akigumo and Hamakaze dress up fashion show while they're out hitting up the stores.
Hey guys, that kanji is literally "root nature" if it is the same meanings as Chinese.
daikon radish is "giant root", and the same characters are for "huge penis" (so root = penis), so...
Hamakaze's nature is DICKS???? And she literally put it on her boobs that she has a thing for cocks???
It's a Sino-Korean/Japanese word. It's a spin-off from 機根, and originally meant "human nature" but morphed into patience, perseverance, persistence, endurance, tenacity".
Or if you want something a bit vulgar, "grit/gutsy."

I think Hamakaze would get along really well with Duck Team. She shares their motto.

Well, kanji has diverged in its evolution from hanzi, becoming a species of its own. Here's the dictionary on the kanji in question, and while you can get that meaning from the individual kanjis, in combination, they mean something like "guts", "willpower", or "spirit".

A lot of other anime and game characters, as well. (And Spiral Power from TTGL is basically just guts, at that...) If you've ever played Breath of Fire 2 or 3, you'll realize just how effective Ryu's GUTS really are. (Especially when GUTS! activates 10 times in a row...)

Hell Yeah! RIP AND TEA--- Oh, oh you means 'guts' in the metaphorical sense. Sorry... my bad. *sheepishly attempts to shove his foe's intestines back into his stomach*

I generally figure that "Guts" is just "Balls" made gender neutral/politically correct for Japanese TV.
Well the other option would be to use what in English happens to be an abbreviation of Daikon radish:
DaIKon radISH -> Di(c)kish :P
So... Hamakaze, depending on how many degrees of politically correct we put it through, is wearing a shirt that says... DICKS on the front, over her boobs, in big letters.... ... ...

Stop butchering Japanese for your stupid jokes.

I don't know what to make of your femininity - is it high? Low?
