This is Metroid Fan Art for Phantoon from Super Metroid. This is actually one of the few Super Metroid bosses to make a return as of lately (2010 Other M) and I felt as if they really pushed his design away from what he was way back in the 90's. So I tried to stay away from the newer version and just render out the old as best I could. It was fun playing with the lower camera angle and multiple light setup. It turned out being one of the few Boss arts I've done that I am actually proud of!
