There was this visual novel / anime where all kinds of modern-day appliances -- from cell phones to refrigerators -- spontaneously gained human form overnight. I'd say it counts as anthropomorphism; a spectrum of practically infinite degrees where "How anthropomorphized is X?" is more relevant than "Is X anthropomorphized?".
