This is a job that stretched throughout this week, simply because I felt I needed to properly celebrate this date. You can find links to each one of the drawing's steps in the gallery. (If you want a list with more pictures, please ask. I do not mind.)

This is a memento for the characters of Persona 3, in one of the most memorable moment for the players of the game, when the MC dies after offering his/her own soul to protect our world. In the following days he/she continues to live by sheer force of will (often referred as being "very tired" by the game) until the day they promised to meet up with their friends on the roof of the school, when then they finally fell asleep to wake no more. They probably wanted to keep their word until the very the end.

Peace for those who left... Sorrow for those left behind. That was the idea that I wanted to pass with this image... And I also doubt you have noticed... But there are two butterflies left behind: blue, they are standing still over the bodies of the main characters. One on Minato's chest, another on the Minako's back. And for those who are familiar with other games in the series, there is a well known golden butterfly taking them away ...

It took me a while to decide the poses too. I sketched quite a bit around the drawing until I decide them. Ken's, Koromaru's and Akihiko's are my favorites from the ones behind, although I like all of them, of course *giggle. I was also thinking about how to draw the MCs ... It would be good to draw them sad or looking at the ones that they will leave behind, I thought? But then I realized that if there is something that they believe are their friends, they are strong enough and will understand what they both did eventually. So I do not think they departed with sadness. I think the two should be happy with the world they left for those who move on. And that's what I drew.

I do not lie when I say that this was one of the games that made ​​me pause to reflect on my own life. He has a very unique way of dealing with very mature themes such as relationships, future, and death itself. No wonder he got a R18 in some places.

If you like complex games and/or rpgs with a good plot behind it, please go ahead. I recommend games in very, very, very rare cases.
