Ehhhh it's very very okay - it's got the flavour baked directly into the noodles, you just add water. (Or eat raw, like Mamee Monster).
They even sell 12-packs on mini-pucks for coffee cups. Being the first ever commercial instant ramen, it's nothing special, really - especially when compared to the like of Ra-Oh or even any cup ramen over 150 yen...
You add your own seasoning, including that (raw) egg. As Paracite says, it's the grandfather of all instant noodles, so if you think it looks good at all, just look in the instant noodle section of your local supermarket, and find some improved versions of the same thing in the discount bin for $0.50 a pop. Imagine a life that you can indulge yourself in eating those everyday without getting fat nor high blood pressure.
On one hand, we have iodine-fortified instant noodle here.
On the other hand, we have cheap-as-dirt vegetables that's literally growing in the lawn. Even instant noodle is sometimes more expensive than vegetables.
Meat and eggs is a toss-up. Depends on the locality, I guess.
I wonder how will they react to Indomie(Indonesia's top brand of instant noodles).
