It's the American and British ships who have huge problems with Gangut. Remember that Germany had a truce with Russia until the Germans broke it by invading.

So did France, Britain and almost every other large European powers at the time.
And Hitler made purging all communism as well as Jews as his campaign and political promise. Germans at the time weren't too fond of Jews and communism, and it's a fact.

So, if you are going to go by history, you know how serious the French and Italians will be punished if Bismarck had to ask a communist for information. But, Bismarck seems to have reached a term with Gangut so yeah, maybe not that much.

P/S: If you are going by history, you'll know why it's the French and the Italians who are trying to get away. lol

I wonder how much damage a Tiger 1 could do to a four door sedan.

If a 10-ton BTR-60 can cave a Rolls Royce like it's made of tin can, I'm sure a 54-ton Tiger I can get the job done fine.

Russia just points the way. Not interfering.

She would head north though to evade this lot.

The Americans, British and Japanese appear to be staying put. The Japanese because they are serious. The Americans and British...for there own reasons.

    Uh, no...

Keep in mind that Fascism as a movement was started largely as an opposite super-right-wing extreme response to the super-left-wing Communism. They were, from their very inception, diametrically opposed to Communism. Hitler put the Communists (and the gays, but that's another matter) into the concentration camps long before he put the Jews in. Hitler only signed a non-aggression pact with Stalin out of necessity, because at the time, he was convinced by his generals that fighting a two-front war was suicidal, and that he needed to eliminate the Western Allies of Britain and France before he could refocus upon Russia. Hitler couldn't manage to contain his burning loathing of Communism that long, however, and declared a surprise attack upon Russia even though it was a suicidal move to split his forces and take his jaw off the neck of his enemies right when the UK was cornered. Stalin, for his part, refused to believe that Hitler was going to attack him, even when he got intelligence reports that said as much because he could plainly see that attacking Russia at that time was suicidal and insane, and Hitler wouldn't do something INSANE, would he? Clearly, just a bunch of misinformation! Now, back to purging all the generals in the military so that there's no chance of an organized response to any invasion!

By contrast, FDR rather liked Stalin, and even called him "Uncle Joe". It was only when FDR died and Truman took over that US-Soviet relations started to feel the chill of the Cold War. (Churchill never liked Stalin, though.)

Ido's portrayal is more a reflection of the Cold War views than WW2 views.

Well Iowa was around for the entire Cold War, so her views are understandable. Warspite would be in Churchill's camp. It is Saratoga and other American ship that might not really get what Iowa or Warspite are on about.

The French and Italian ships clearly have issues with the Germans, and the French have some issues with Russia, but those are scattered issues across several centuries (France and Russia being the two main land powers of Europe until the rise of Germany)

Considering the large Summer event is coming, the Japanese and German ships are serious about it, with the French and Italian ships are going on vacation. The Americans and British shipgirls will do what they will, leaving the Russian shipgirl to figure out what to do for her first major event since implementation.

    I would wonder why...

Oh wait. New members to induct into the fleet. (Hope more American kanmusu are among the rewards...)

Bisko might get bad memories should Ido-san score the new rewards for this Summer event.

I heard that the Kancolle devs have now included the Fairey Swordfish in the Summer Event drop rewards (this means British CV...)

Roma and Littorio now do have a reason for Ido-san to inculde them in a fleet for the summer event.

Not because Ark Royal will come, but because (rumour has it), that Aquila will be in an event drop [this is because foreign CVs will be in reward drops for admirals who don't have them [remember Ido-san missed Aquila last time?].)

Ah, she may be slow, but she's gaining on us.
    Absence Without Official Leave
    (Have a good vacation!)
It would be in your best interests to limit your exposure to the Japanese and German ships' stupid seriousness.
Letting your hair down, taking a nice break and living a full life is vital!
I'll be back in September, okay!
That's a southern vacanze, of course!
    (Have a good vacation!)
    They won't escape!
    Understood!
Have you seen the French and Italian ships!?
You simply must take a vacance in the south! Vacance is a French word, you see! バカンス /bakansu/ 'vacation', is indeed from French.
