You are forbidden to catch and cook wild eels, but bred-in-captivity eels are a-okay. Japanese LOVES their eels so much they consumed 70% of the whole world's production of eels. That's something else, remembering how many people currently living in Japan.

I literally had eel today. No issues getting it, it's at all the donburi chains, supermarkets, bento shops, and even convenience stores. Still too damn expensive compared to other meats though.

There's eel specialist restaurants, as well. Eel donburi is the most popular way to have it, I believe.

Half an eel on rice at the local conbini is 1280. And that's not a lot of eel. At Sukiya and similar it's usually 2-4 pieces totalling 8ish cm square.

You don't get a lot without paying through the nose.

And we are having eels like no tomorrow in Vietnam. Well, not to that extend, quite limited and eels are expensive here too but not as much as in Japan. Man, talk about luxuries.

Edit: Oh, and I heard they took fish to replace eels already. From Vietnam too. You can't even tell the differences. lol

They used farmed catfish, already linked that on 3rd article.

She could sail to Australia or New Zealand, where it would be Winter... or go all-out and just sail back to Siberia or the Arctic.

She could come to Canada. Decently warm in the summers in most areas, and decently cold in the winter.

And it would give us time to build a stronghold hard enough to withstand any kind of zombie herds.
    What's Canada? Heaven on Earth?

    Sorry...
    Comrade Gangut!
Today is that rumoured "Dohyo no ushi no hi", right? 土用の丑の日, the middle of summer.
    Keep it together, Comrade Gangut!
    Ah! That's right!
I'll eat some eel and get some energy!
Because of a view towards environmental protection, it's actually become policy to not eat eel...
Natural eels are an endangered species!
It's no good... Japan's summer is murdering me...
Japanese eel dishes are super-popular in Russia!
