Very good, the original building style may have been Mediaeval or Tudor period, but this captures being in a warm dusty afternoon in a European town area any time from 1300 to 1850.

Could be very dull for a small boy, but safe enough. Some like excitement, some like the other...

I really don't think we need an additional tag for decorative timber framing. Half-timbered suffices well enough, even when the architectural period is unclear.
