I've seen this a lot recently, and I have to wonder - is "I tell ya" really the best translation for "da ze"? I understand there's no easy way to find an equivalent in English for these kind of particles, but in this case "I tell ya" doesn't sound fitting in this situation.

Sometimes, artists decide to throw Marisa's "da ze" in there even when it wouldn't be grammatically correct to do so (which she doesn't do in canon AFAIK). When this happens, it can sound forced and out of place in Japanese as well. It's especially jarring when the entire rest of the sentence is in English, like with Trick or Treat or Merry Christmas.
