I think it's pretty clear by now that nobody in a Meitoro comic learns anything.

And don't forget the macho gay stuff. She'd apparently be in the "shipgirls should be with shipgirls, and admirals should be with admirals" faction if the admirals were all-male.

I just feel sorry for poor Akigumo if she ever comes to this base. Her character niche has been thoroughly occupied by this point!
