    Checkmate?

    The next Aoba report will be the last.

    It'll come to light some other day, but Mutsu and Bismark are at similar standing as Hiei, in that their relations with the Admiral are somewhat unique.

    In addition, that mecha-ish deal in the last panel is a parody of that bit at the beginning of Patlabour II.
    I just love that flare-launching scene.
