You try leaving unchanged when your girlfriend leaves you for her sister.

There's no sisters left for her to get together with. Feels bad.

Interesting note/reminder that Kagaya Tsubomi is a blood relative of this family (most notably seen in this family photo ) but is at complete odds with how the rest of her immediate family views incest. Not only is she the only one to show explicit negative views on incest, but she's the only one to not be seen working at the inn; I would be surprised if the two weren't linked.

Considering what she said in this confrontation, I would not be surprised if she was talking from personal experience. Either she suffers from self-hatred for her own feelings towards her own family sister or cousin, or (and this is my personal guess) she witnessed the struggles her own mother and aunt went through in their relationship after each of their marriages fell apart, and she doesn't want to see Ayumu and Sayo go through the same.

It's interesting how Mochi's storytelling has gone from rom-com (More Than Friends), to super-lighthearted with an emphasis on incest, to now serious dramatic romance (at least in this series, Kagaya Inn is still very much super-light incest).

Or maybe, until Ayumu finally got up in her face and told her off, she was lying through her teeth pretending to be disgusted by their lesbian incest in order to test the strength of the sisters' relationship. Notice how her tone becomes a lot less hostile and denigrating right after Ayumu cuts her off and puts a stop to her insults towards Sayo; she's more or less just stating the facts (and indirectly reminding the reader that the Mochiverse is still closer to reality on LGBT acceptance than first impressions from Mochiverse comics may imply), which may not be necessarily reflective of her personal beliefs or desires.

She wasn't like that back then...
Why did you ever go out with that bitch anyway?
    Eh...?
    Sis.
    Me too...
    But not anymore.
    I love you too...
    You're not mad?
    Ah...
    Yeah, thank you.
I was a little, at first.
    Who knows...
