This is definitely a different take of Gangut from ido. This Gangut loves Russian people but has no interest in Soviet Union due to her former Imperial Russian nature.

Everything is much simpler here. Gangut - Russian ship. The Russian Empire, the RSFSR, the USSR are the names of one and the same country.

    To quote a certain Vladimir Vladimirovich;

Whoever does not miss the Soviet Union has no heart.
Whoever wants it back has no brain.

I see Munmu's Gangut has brain, but I hope she has a heart, too.

EDIT: Just saw the translation now. Yes, she has a heart.

To be fair though, those four cans of caviar were probably still cheaper than a single 10cm round.
    Yeah, welcome to the military.

I'm surprised Kamoi really started kicking ballet full time after that trial bit with Teste's guidance.

Gangut's casual defiance to not concede in ballet reminds me of that chucklefest of how each famous school handles beginners on the really awe inspiring pointe footwork and the discussions on why the other needs revision or somefin.

I like this version of Gangut. A true daughter of Russia.

Girls in munmu seems more independent in thinking and feels more natural and realistic as a person, compared to other ship girls that usually stereotyped.

@MarqFJA87 Post relationships should only be used for variants of a single image; "plot" references between images should be pointed out in translation notes or comments.

Depends, probably not a WWII round adjusted for inflation, likely yes for a modern round of similar size. WWII 105mm round cost about 500 bucks adjusted, modern one about 1500. (using the assumption the cans were roughly 50g costing about 250-350 dollars each which is what google-fu provided price wise on a search)

Or a pool. I really don't understand why this is a series, but doesn't have a series pool by now...

Really? I guess the rules on this have changed over the last few months that I've been too busy to keep tabs on this site (I have a huge backlog to tackle now).

Yeah, good point. Besides the original Looking for Oscar pool (whose criteria I have yet to figure out), I've been making series pools for certain sets of posts that obviously form a self-contained story (e.g. Aoba's Admiral Report), but I could certainly see them all being merged into a single pool. The problem is... What do we name it? "Admiral Hisamura's Naval Base"?

That's been the same at least since I signed up in 2010. Just a lot of people ignore it.

    Jup.
I have to fix a lot of such post relationships recently.
Mostly for posts that were uploaded in a batch by the artist to Pixiv. Would wish when more people would read help:post relationships.

Yeah, well, I can understand why a lot of people would opt for parent/child relationships instead of pools when doing the latter would lead to creating a lot of 2- or 3-post pools, especially if it's not possible to lump together multiple such mini-comics into a single large pool for one reason or the other.

    Easy peasy.
Our national character somehow or other really just couldn't care less.
    It was wonderfully delicious.
    Eh? But...
    Is... is that so?
You're griefing about the price? See post #2961424
That I like my country doesn't mean that I like my homeland, does it...
    Okay.
    Bourgeoisie of the highest order.
If you enjoyed yourself eating it, then it's all fine, right?
Gangut-san, those high-class goods and prices and stuff...
While one could say that during my warship days I was attached to the Red and Soviet navies, I was born into the Imperial Russian Navy, after all.
I was certain that you'd take pride in your native land for sure...
    And ballet.
Don't you really concern yourself with those?
While I may wax nostalgic about the Union, I don't think there's any part of me that wants it back.
For me, what I value is the here and now... The only place where I have been able to become the true meaning of "Comrade".
    Doing some leg-spreading flexibility.
    Ah, can't concede that....
    Not fighting then...
