Question regarding the "caramelldansen" tag:
what is this (by which I mean the .gif in this post) originally from?

This gif is from the anime Popotan, as the tag in purple says.

The music, though this one doesn't have it, therefore this shouldn't have caramelldansen tag IMO.

No, somebody put it in the flash later as a joke/meme/thingamabob. Popotan had an opening by UNDER17. No Swedes involved (as far as I know).

Yes, it's from the game intro.

Come to think of it no, I don't remember it being in the opening. It must've been from the game intro, I guess?

caramelldansen is just our tag for anything related to the caramelldansen meme. The Japanese call it ｳｯｰｳｯｰｳﾏｳﾏ(ﾟ∀ﾟ). It would be pretty weird NOT to tag the original image caramelldansen, in my opinion.

What I'm trying to ask (and failing so miserably to do so) is:

Yes, the Popotan dance was long before caramelldansen, but it's still correct to tag this with it because it is in the same style as the meme. Someone looking for caramelldansen will want to see this. Especially when it helped start it all.

this one goes better with the original mix of the Caramelldansen song which i think is better than the sped up one

Unfortunately, as much as I recognize this as being a meme-starter, I'd much rather have the music video since it was the combination of the music and this animation that kicked off the meme.
