Cats love to mess with you when you're busy with something. But the moment you want to mess with them they treat you like a nuisance.
I still love them anyway I just wonder what Jijustu they pull off to make that so.
My favorite is when I'm sitting at my computer desk, but I'm actually taking a break and doing something on my phone. My cats will hop up on the desk and start brushing up against the monitor while arching their back to block as much as possible. Then they get annoyed when I just ignore them, and they'll go for my lap when they realize I'm focused on the phone.
Fortunately, the one that wants to be near me all the time now is also a "I want to be near you but no touchie" cat, so I just set up a pillow at the corner of my desk and she'll sleep there from afternoon until I'm ready to sleep and give her the kittejection. (I have enough trouble getting enough sleep without a paw in the eye at 4 AM.)
