Professional photographers use soft lenses to create gentle scenes like this...

Uhmmm... Kind of remind me Ami Ayukawa...

Heck, I say nothing has been done to soften this. I say that with such low light, he's runing an f-stop of close to 1.4 or lower maybe, so his 'in-focus' area is only about 3 inches or so.

She's so cute, I'd forgive her waking me up by poking me in the eye. '_<

Its called "depth-of-field"

an fstop of 1.4 I could get a much more blured effect you probly would barely be able to notice the head board of the bed, 2.8 maybe, but I'd say thats probly close to a 4
