This game was impossible for me. For the life of me I couldn't get past the one dude and his "son". Absolutely no way to win.

Yeah, this game was brutal. I do vaguely remember some guy and his son.

I have gotten all the Gold Crystals...
Man, no challange was ever that frustating to achieve in a game.

All the best games by Treasure (including Mischief Makers) were maddeningly hard... yet somehow you kept on wanting to play more, and get better at them...

...what? I beat it as an early teen, myself. Took the space of a game rent (two days).

Of course, they were two days with play sessions in the ballpark of 12-13 hours, but two days :P.

Well, it's not just the winning of the game - it's the completing of those optional goals, in this case the Gold Crystals.

This game drove me mad. I still haven't gotten all of those stupid gold crystals... I can't see the actual ending still! BAH!

Last crystal I got was fighting the wolf boss on his motorcycle. Man, how I got pissed off getting that.
The feeling of completion after getting all crystals was nice...

Beating Phoenix Gamma without getting hit to get the gold gem was the toughest feat for me. It took me a ton of tries but the feeling of accomplishment made it all worth it.

All you have to do is grab upwards, ironically I was an idiot and my sister had to figure it out for me erlier. <.<
