Maybe to us it isn't. But i still see a lot of people when they saw a Samurai in armor, they call it a Ninja.

There was a time where pretty much all martial arts are made to be ninja related, as I know it. But since I'm not in the West at the time, I don't exactly know how it was and what impression it left.
