I always thought it was stupid they change Saber's name. They should have just kept it as Arthur if they were so keen on sticking(vaguely) to the legend.

Integrity to the source material aside, it's not like they change their own internal universe rule every other Sunday anyway.
Like a 3rd of every Servant must be a "special case rule" that deviates from normal or something. It really became a case of "when everybody is special, no one is".
