Displeased because she didn't want to become his girlfriend so he decided to scrap her?

how so? The admiral seems to be doing it out of spite of her saying no. Thats like killing the girl or boy you liked because they said they arent interested..excuse me if i dont understand your logic in this situation.

It is a war after all, and you need to get rid of weak links. If your subordinate is disloyal and disrespectful - you get rid of him. Make sure that you have replacement beforehand of course.
I'm not saying that TTK's doing morally right thing. But I can understand him very well.

You are being the same sort of "honor-shame" retarded fruitcake that lost Japan the war (cause it to go to war in the first place, and everything after too).

Mistaking obedience for respect is the first step toward a lemming train. How did you ever learn language if you can't tolerate your dictionary/computer/etc. (e.g. subordinate) correcting your mistakes?

If Japanese teitoku are commonly like this then Japan deserves to be overrun by the Abyssals.

Now that's some Grade A Abuse of Authority. A subordinate won't go out with you? Fired!

Into the Shitty Admiral Pool it goes!

    he Abyssals.

That's just how things work in the army, especially during the wartime. ESPECIALLY if things are dire at the front-line and your country is losing. You can get jailed and/or executed for any hint of disobedience.

I never served during the wartime, but let me tell you that "abuse of authority" is just another day in the office if you're inside of an actual fighting regiment.

Again, I'm not saying that TTK's doing the right and "good" thing. But I can understand why he's doing what he's doing.

Just saying, all of what did in the military is to enforce the idea of doing as ordered even if you might die or even if you will die in action.
However, if it gets too personal of a purpose, it's still in the wrong and you get court martial for that.
And your mention of just another day "abuse of authority" is what I suspect to be looked on by the soldiers, not the officers if it's called "abuse of authority". It can not go as far as getting rid of a subordinate because he doesn't listen to you. If you want to get rid of someone, you have to at least charge them for insubordination. There are rules for that. These serve as demonstration for others not to disobey orders, but also to keep the officers in line. That's how it works.

I don't know if you are or were an officer or not. But if you say you understand his reasons, I have doubts that you are mistaken.

Although it is a display of cruelty, I think it's not because of what happened back a few posts but just what we do almost everyday. AKA, scrapping the girls you don't need instead of having anything to do with it at all.

It could be true that it has nothing to do with the previous posts but somehow, when Inazuma starting saying that she's in truth in love with him, it was as if she was trying to correct her behaviour which reminds me the previous posts.

Daaaaaamn, a lot of people here is mixing wrongly military procedures with feelings, and that worries me.

If Inazuma called the admiral disgusting is because him is combining his work with his feeling. Love doesn't surge with orders.

He is doing the same sort of STUPID ("right" or "good" are irrelevant) self-defeating lemming train that got Japan thrashed in his grandfather's and great-grandfather's time.

It seems Japan has learned NOTHING from WWII, namely that if you only get to hear what you want to hear you eventually run face-first into/over a cliff and fully deserve that.

Yeah, Inazuma has every right to hate someone harassing her for five straight years in spite of being told bluntly that it will never happen every single time, certainly. Zero sympathy for the shitbag that was doing the stalking, though.

Yeah, see, there's a little thing called knowing when to move on. Not Inazuma's fault that he obsessed over her that long, that ball's entirely in the Admiral's court, especially when she made it abundantly clear she ain't interested. To put it in a non-military perspective, this is like picking up a gun and shooting a girl you've been working with because she's refused your advances- emphatically- for five years.

    Agreed.
    This admiral deserves a lynching.

*I 100% believe shipgirl scrappings are like Mass Effect 2 Reaper Nanite Melting, not the "lighter and softer" stuff some people claim.

Shouldn't we then blame the company that makes the game? I can only "rescue" so many girls before the roster is completely filled up...

Not to mention scrapping is a daily quest you get rewarded for. That's pretty directly telling you it's expected of you.

In some other games, they don't even let you have more than one of a particular unit, it's just getting duplicates of their gear, so scrapping is just scrapping the gear, and you apparently just have a bunch of girls sitting on the waiting list for gear until you get the first of their gear.
