Jet Black (Prosthetic arm) Vash the Stampede (Prosthetic arm(s?)) I'm sure we'd find more if we looked into minor and villain characters. And I can't think of too many females with amputations.
ah those are two more guess i am thinking more on originals and fanart?
you see more younger males with eye-patches than prosthetics. and villains usually dont make much impact and they die quickly. and largely they are adults.

Amputees are an unusual occurrence in any medium. The slightly greater abundance of female anime amputees stirs up this sort of notion in your comment precisely because of how rare they are in general. Kind of like the average person you meet. You'll probably only meet someone who's missing a limb in one out of every hundred thousand people or something. But step inside a wartime field hospital situated next to a minefield and you'll be thinking, "Wow, there are a lot of amputees in the world."
