Kirshwassers and 100-series Realians, the mass produced loli android harem.

I really wish we got more art and doujins of them like this classic piece.

Here's the fridge horror about the Kirschwasser.

Now, everyone knows about the abuse Albedo inflicted upon them towards the end of the first game. These puppets were made in the likeness of the girl who bore the likeness of the girl his conjoined twin brother became a bit infatuated with after all. It makes sense he'd hold them in a little bit of contempt...but that's really not all there is to it.

See, he was stranded for more than a decade with 100 of them. And the game establishes very early on that although Relians are pretty amazing, they still need routine maintenance and psychological examines. And Albedo was a young teen with neither the resources or expertise to perform these tasks for them.

So supposing he didn't actually hate them (initially) and actually wanted to help them, he couldn't. And over the years, they'd start to malfunction, losing their senses, ability to talk, ability to move, until finally they ended up trapped in their own bodies unable to interact with the world shortly before expiring. A slow agonizing fate put on display for Albedo during his developing years.

And for their part, the Kirshwassers' primary concern the whole time was Albedo's well-being. He was the only human they had to serve and interact with. So from their point of view, with the circumstances being what they were, even being a punching bag for him was preferable to not being useful at all. Never mind what else he might have used them for...

That does make a lot of sense. Take the concepts of the Prison Experiment: people are not initially inclined to be needlessly cruel, even in a position of authority. When there starts to be stress compounded from a closed system with limited resources and no one for the people locally to reach out for and receive support/expertise, things very quickly just go off the rails. In situations where one faction has to take care of another, there is very quickly the spiral into abuse and cruelty as the inability to really control the situation and realization that no outside force is going to change what is happening and what is going to happen.

Eventually someone crosses that line into becoming a monster.
