Dagashi are neat, but not as... breathtakingly wondrous as traditional British penny sweets. Then again, Nelson is probably the hoity-toity sort who'd never set foot in a 'plebian' store before (at least back in her home country), so...

Incidentally, anyone knows how to make gradient text work in notes? The usual CSS method of using a gradient background and clipping it to transparent text doesn't seem to work.

I just usually put the text through a gradient generator, like this one. It doesn't provide as nice a gradient as your preferred method might, but it does work here, which is a key advantage. :-) (I didn't even know it was possible to clip a background gradient to transparent text, probably for the very reason that it doesn't work here and so I'd never seen an example.)

(Yeah, this method can't do top-to-bottom gradients within the same letter/line, but it's good enough. And it works everywhere!)

By the way, do you know of any CSS generator that allows vectorized manipulation of text to make them follow arcs and spirals, like the defunct CSSWARP? Applying transforms manually like it's done in post #3257195 is rather tedious (and clunky without inherited classes or Sass for-loops) and prone to error, especially when trying to include browser fallback styles.

You're welcome. And sadly, no, nothing in my virtual library for arcing text. It's not something I'd ever tried. I was quite impressed with it even being done in the post you linked, but I despair of ever properly learning the coding structure from that example.
