I like this. Always see Isokaze messin' up, burnin' or makin' 'er food inedible. It's rather refreshin' to see good results after she worked very hard, by the looks of 'er hands, and seein' 'er smile... it's worth it.

And at the time, the devs said that Urakaze, Hamakaze, and Isokaze would all eventually get full Kai Ni remodels, and that those were sort of half-kais.

Nobody said anything about cutting. It's entirely possible she burned her fingers. Repeatedly.

Band-aids are bad for burns though. Though I understand people do (mis)use them.

She probably tried to cook kabayaki-style before being told to just do the simplest thing: grill it as is.
