Well,
A) this is fanon, and another author can write her so she doesn't feel remorse or actually hates the commander.
B) some guys just reflexively hate any girl that is "uppity" towards "them".

Some people just can't stop thinking others hate them.
So just talking to them harshly and they might try to kill themselves.

Then again, there are people acting like that just to get good attentions to them.

This artist clearly loves Kasumi very much though? I like her also, which makes me want to bully and tease her (among other things).
