Is Ido using Akitsumaru as his own self-insert to tell us his France trip or something?
Just like Littorio is Italia, Bismarck is Germany, Warspite is the UK, Iowa is America, etc., Akitsu Maru is the IJA and Nagato is the IJN in Ido's Hetalia-ish setup. Hence, Akitsu Maru has all of the IJA's various traumas.
People are clustering in front of the board, waiting for the platform information to come up... This is simply an inconvenient system.
Wow, even she say so herself.
They won't say which platform to go until 10-15 minutes before the depart so do not sleep while awaiting for the announcement (especially when you have your train at 7-8 AM because the tickets are cheaper but you're still sleepy 'cause you needed to woke up early).
And I especially advise to try looking for all the platform number in advance so you won't be in panic when you have your number but you have no idea where it is.

They do this in some British stations as well [ can't say if all since I don't use privatised services ], but privatised or not, it is just the overwhelming need for self-assertion, the need to change working systems to something flatter and stupider, by marketeers and technocrats.
A disease often shown by software devs, particularly in design and UI.

Well to be fair, our rail system was laid down in the Victorian era and some places up north aren't even electrified because we are outside the M25 border and thus do not exist to central government.
That bamboo pole won't do jack shit to a Sherman especially if the crew is buttoned up.
Yeah, but you will still get PTSD after the war

The Saumur Armored Museum! And some trauma, right off the bat...Our objective is Saumur.Unlike Japan, where the platform is determined by destination, French railways announce the platform 15 minutes before they depart. We've arrived at Saumur! This is simply an inconvenient system. The Loire region is also famous for its wine production, you know. There's an American M4 Sherman just sitting here!Ahhhh!People are clustering in front of the board, waiting for the platform information to come up...We shall be switching between the pride of France, the TGV, and the TER to get there.
