This just isn't true. Nothing is stopping the two from spending time together, and they've been seen together several times in canon. Their relationship actually comes across as fairly standard for siblings, if not always seeing eye to eye.
Considering this is Jetto's Flan however, who is infamous for being an a-hole to Remi, the more appropriate reaction would be this.
