Does that mean there's a chance we'll have Tosa?
Will we also have Akagi as a Battlecruiser too?
I must say that's quite a novelty here.

I dig it. It's like alternate classing in FGO. Is this her base form? Not a retrofit of regular Kaga, right?

It's a completely new ship based on an unfinished BB. Basically, this is pretty much just an alternate Kaga. I wonder what other ships are going to get something like this in the future? We could have multiples of the same ships from the 4 factions. To me though, they really should focus on retrofits first then something like this. So many ships are in need of retrofits, Enterprise being one.

Yeah. I just remembered Kaga was supposed to be a Battlecruiser at first. Kinda surprising that AL managed to get a Tosa class first instead of Kancolle. I kinda agree on the retrofit thing but isn't Enty one of the highest tier CV? Then again, I find tier lists a bit subjective in their judgement.

The modification is to improve the strength.Now Enterprise is very strong,So she won't be transformed soon.

Yes, there are plenty of ships that need a Kai/retrofit since there are plenty of ships that don't have good stats, need a better set of skills or became power creep victims.
However Enterprise is far from being included in any of those scenarios, since she's pretty much the best (offensive) carrier in the whole game... Since day 1 I might add.

Anyway... back to topic.
I gotta say that I actually like the concept of having Kaga's previous form implemented in the game (and truth to be told...I'm surprised that they beat Kancolle at that), and I like her design too.
I'll be rolling hard for her in the next event's gacha that's for sure ^^

Actually, Kaga was supposed to be a battleship. Essentially Nagato, just bigger and stronger.

Akagi was the battlecruiser.

The commentary is almost Nasuian (not in a good way). Had to abuse em dashes.

Makes you wonder how Amagi will look like... hopefully Taihou levels of yandere~

Huh, now I wanna see the Lexingtons and Glorious as battlecruisers (although Glorious will certainly be underwhelming).

...Saru illustrating the Lexingtons, though. Part of me is saying no at Saru drawing BCs, but another part of me is morbidly curious. >_<

Also, since this is not the same Kaga should we make a new tag? Like battlecruiser_kaga_(azur_lane)?

I think a more proper tag would be kaga_(battleship)_(azurlane). The Tosa-class was designed to be a proper battleship.

Japanese Navy use order authorization date to determine class precedence (just like every other navies really). Although they're both authorized in the same day, Kaga was authorized first so the Japanese officially call them Kaga-class. Outsiders obviously didn't have any access to their bureaucracy so they just name the class after the first ship observed to be laid down, Tosa was laid down five months before Kaga.

Separate ship and alternate classing is a good way of putting it as it's very much a "what if" reclassing ala Arturia Lancer with the what if being "What if the Tosa class battleship plan proceeded ahead instead of being canceled"

Hard to tell as IIRC the battleship never was a thing in history with the name being passed down to a (very buxom in KC) carrier.
