I recall a french guy being horribly disfigured after such an explosion, back in the 1990s. He looked like the Pale Man from Del Toro's "Pan's Labyrinth".

too much aerosol in an enclosed space + lighter's spark = we might need to rebuild the building after it exploded/burnt....

On the other hand, it saved them the trouble of tearing down the naval base for a complete reconstruction.

No, I mean, won't 1200 bottles of vodka make the air just as flammable?

No, it wouldn't. Vodka is flammable, but it's not an aerosol.

For fire to actually start, the vodka need to be spread in the air or there will be no combustion.
Lucky for us, vodka is heavier than air and is not made to float around the air at all. Unless you continuously spray vodka, it will not start to burn.

Depends on the a amount dispersed and how much O2 is mixed in.

I remember an explosion occurring in an episode of Detective Conan due to a gun firing in a room full of evaporating spirits.
I guess that was an exaggeration, then? I never researched about it.

The issue there is that it has to have a lot less water than alcohol (so rubbing alcohol at 90% concentration) is better Thad vodka would be. It has to be thoroughly mixed with the oxygen to trigger that sort of explosion, which is why aerosol sprays where the propellant and presumably the aerosolized liquid are flammable would work better

Really? I kind of stopped following the series after vol 72 so I don't know what that evaporating spirit thingy is like. But if given the right conditions, it might start an explosion from the exhaust of gun fire.
THe conditions are not hard to understand, but hard to simulate. hardest part is to mix oxygen and fuel, as we are talking, vodka so well that when the fire of that explosion/the ignition caused by that lighter touches it start to burn right away. Then it would be an explosion.

But as Jarlath said, vodka is still rich in water, which keeps oxygen from meeting the alcoholic fuel, leading to no combustion. So, as I said, unless you spray the vodka continuously for a long time, until the vapor in the air would be the alcohol instead of it mixed with water, it will not burn.

There's another way to do it, that is to let the vodka vaporize on its own. Though I don't know if it might starts to change into something else or is enough to become like gasoline even at high concentration (never really tried or see people waste so much of good alcohol), it might be a way to create the situation. Of course, if you gave it a long enough time.

Alcohol is actually perfectly flammable. You just have to not have too much water mixed in with it. See: Alcohol Burner

That being said, I doubt spirits meant consumption can produce enough vapor to be a explosive hazard unless there is a shit ton of it. Most of them actually do not contain that much alcohol by volume.

Overproof Rum and other drinking spirits with an alcohol content above 50% ABV are flammable, or Crepes Suzette and Feuerzangenbowle would not work. With regular vodka (40% ABV)things get interesting, if you use them Gangut-style in an enclosed space, so fumes can build an explosive mix with the oxygen.

No matter how much we deodorise, it's not working.
    My situational analysis was...
    Surströmming...
    1200 industrial-strength deodorising sprays!
    Boss, here!
    Good grief.
What a fearsome weapon it is.
I'm sure that if we spray the lot around, it'll do the trick, more-or-less.
That it's even stronger than the stench of blood and corpses is rather unexpected.
    Good job, Yuudachi!!
Is there anything that could even erase all trace of it?
