    String instruments? Mostly just electric guitars nowadays, but they used to make violins from Al. Apparently purists dislike the sound though.

    Oh, and they also have anodized aluminum mouthpieces for brasswind instruments. I guess you can in theory make an aluminum wind instrument since the materials shouldn't (in theory) matter acoustics-wise (since in a wind instrument the air is the resonator instead of the instrument body or strings), but the weight might feel off to people used to brass instruments.

    they absolutely do. it's why plastic instruments are not preferred at all
