Kinda hard to say. Venom is basically a type of parasite that needs to feed off a host, but then again depending on the continuity the kind of parasite differs. If he's a physical sustenance type of parasite then a zombie's body really wouldn't work for him. But if he's an emotional parasite then so long as the zombie has a full range of emotions it would entirely be possible for Venom to subsist off one.

They feed on 'neurotransmitters' (the class of biochemicals, but Marvel as usual mucks up the science somewhat so it includes some neurotransmitter precursors and hormones). Which leads to some of them craving brains, but foods like chocolate can satisfy the same cravings.
Zombiverse Venom (Earth-2149 Eddie Brock) can still function but apparently at reduced capacity since he's no longer an 'ideal' host post-infection.
