Those who wished Shigure to be MC of the anime can rejoice now. She has been confirmed to be one in next iteration, which probably will not be a direct sequel of the last :D
I didn't really have a problem with MC 'Buki. To be honest, the anime had problems that extended way beyond their choice of protagonist. But I'm still excited regardless.

If you do anything about the other side of that war without disregarding shit talks and decide to portrait anything about the Axis powers in a good light, you can not stand how they will bash you. Heck, they will bash you for just stating historical facts they didn't know or don't want to know about.
Being a WW2 history enthusiasts, I have had countless arguments regarding that already. And that's is not mentioning the fanboy arguments where America was the greatest to have come in and save everyone with democracy or German tanks, the Tiger was indestructible or Britain were going to starve to their death during the war or Red Army forced new recruits fight without proper guns... It's a wonder how my answers on how Hitler was right (which is relatively not true, given what we know today) invading the Soviet Union or America didn't just come into the war to split war spoils when it's going to end up on Quora aren't getting asked for more proof and get reported for being a neo Nazi.
Well.... I kind of talked too much and might get my comment voted down to be hidden here. But that's one of the sad truth out there. Instead of showing or trying to know how things are bad, people tend to hide or look away from bad things without thinking it through.
