It's not that hard to imagine Ashigara being close to Nachi, considering that both are pretty lively drinkers while Haguro is more goody-two-shoes (that probably doesn't drink a lot) and Myoukou being the proper elder daughter who has to take care of everyone.

The fact that Ashigara is the youngest of the bunch is kinda interesting.

I never noticed that due to the Haguro x Naka vibe Bob's art has been giving through out the years.
Also Nachi & Ashigara seems like drinking buddies.

Nachi and Ashigara are both shown drinking together in 2019 Calendar so their "drinking buddy" status is pretty much confirmed.

Nachi and Ashigara have been drinking buddies from the get-go. They're two of the first eight to keep the Anchorage Bar open past 0100.

The other 6 members of the Elite Eight are Kiso, Junyo, Musashi, Mutsu, Chitose, and Hayashimo.
