This is always how I've imagined Mokou and Kaguya's relationship to be like. After killing each other for so long, the centuries worth of catharsis would have burned out any hatred they might have had for each other and forged a grudging friendship. The only reason they still kill each other is out of habit/tradition/to keep up appearances.
