I like to think that Len intended to give the new PSP to Rin from the start since he doesn't seem to be a gamer (I mean later comics do show him playing games with Rin and Chibi Miku a couple times, but he doesn't seem to play much). The problem is more that Rin just snatches it without so much as a thank you.
