Just like the recent one is inspired by UK, XY was inspired by France.

Specifically, the map is clearly France with Lumiose City being Paris, complete with innumerable cafes and an Eiffel Tower; the villain team is obsessed with fashion and beauty; you visit Versailles; local mons include french poodles and knightly swords; the regional snack food is a galette...

That reminds me...what 'regional foods' we will get with Galar? The logical choice given stereotyping
would be fish and chips, yet according this list we could get, uh, bizarre things.

I'm going to pick the safe bet between Jam Roly Poly, Welsh Rarebit, Laverbread or Eton Mess.

Of those, Jam Roly Poly and Etton Mess are the only real possibilities, since it's always a dessert or snack food of some sort - note how Unova got ice cream cones sold by a street vendor rather than the more iconic hot dogs purely to service that convention.

Frenchies loves cheese as much they loves wine. But not all of their cheese choices are, to put in better words, safe for olfactory organ. There's some type of cheese, like Roquefort, Brie de Meaux, Epoisses, Muenster, and Pont l'Eveque that will make Blue Cheese smells like air freshner.

Muenster, really? That's long been one of my favorite cheeses, and I've never known it to be pungent. (I've never had any of the rest you named, so I can't say one way or the other on them.)

As far as the dessert goes, I think they'll go with something general like a tart or strawberry shortcake.

That's because what you've eaten is merely imitation of the real thing. Real French Munster cheese is famous for its strong smell that has been compared with damp week-old sock, or in case it fully matures, horse manure.

Yeah... yet we didn't got a place based around Notre Dame, or something related to a musketeers or the frenc revolution, i mean, of anything, having a pokemon evil team based on Napoleon or even on Frollo could have made more senses than Lysandre, I mean, we already have a fire related evil team in the form of Team Magma, why make another one if they don't even have nothing to do with fire?!

The Swords of Justice are the Musketeers. Cobalion is Athos the leader, Terrakion is Porthos the stout strong one, Virizion is Aramis the pretty one, Keldeo is D'Artagnan the young late addition to the team. Lysandre is properly French themed because Fashion and Beauty.
